Magganiaris - Taygetos Refyge - Profitis Elias

Experience the beaty of Mountain Taygetos in this 1 day hiking trip to Profitis Elias top and back. We start our hike early in the morning, from Magganiaris water Springs. The Mountain Guide will be waiting for you there 30 minutes before the time of departures. We hike from Magganiaris to Taygetos Refuge (Varvara - EOS Refuge), crossing the unique black pine trees forest. After about 2 hours, we arrive in Taygetos Refuge, where we have our first big resting stop. From here we continue our hike to Profitis Elias peak, which is about 3 hours in the Alpine zone of Taygetos. 

We stop for 40 minutes at the Top of the mountain, to enjoy the view, take some photos and enjoy some Tsipouro before starting our descending back to the refuge and Magganiaris Springs. 

 

During the hike always follow our Mountain Guides tips and instructions. He is there to make sure you are having a safe and enjoyable hike. All our guides are trained and certified.

In order to participate in the Hiking trip you must follow the given instructions.

  • Wear hiking shoes
  • We suggest bringing your Hiking batons
  • Wear light clothes which can be easily removed
  • Bring dry clothes to change if need
  • Bring a 1.5 or 2 lt bottle for water
  • Please be in the Starting locationg at least 15 minutes before departing. Have the ticket with you
  • There is available parking to leave your car in the Starting location

Price excludes

No hiking/trekking gear is included in the price. Everyone should be equiped with the needed gear for trekking.
Transportation to the Starting location of the hike.

Cancellation policy

Individuals can cancel up to 7 days before the tour day, without any charge.

Groups can cancel up to 7 days before the tour, with a 40% fee. Cancellations within a week from the tour day, will be charged with a 100% fee.

In the case of bad weather, the Guide, may cancel the tour for safety reasons. In this case no fee is charged and a full refund is issued. In all PayPal refunds, fees may occur.
